ReplyDeleteLove the cash envelopes! I want to enter the giveaway so here's my tip: I make my own laundry powder. Very easy! Also safe for HE washers. I got the "recipe" and the procedure at The Simple dollar (http://bit.ly/t6Z3m).

We turn our heat WAY down at night and use heavy blankets. It's saved us a lot this winter!
ReplyDeleteAdd a couple of capfulls of water to your shampoo and conditioner and give it a good shake before using it- you will get a few extra uses and you will never know the difference in terms of quality.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest money saver (based on a foundational practice of healthily cooking from scratch with bulk ingredients) is to buy foodstuffs when they are at their absolute lowest price. I stock up as much as the budget will allow right then so it is a LONG time before I have to buy that item again. The only items I buy regularly are perishables, the rest I ONLY buy when I see a huge discount...that way we eat out of our pantry while I hunt for more good deals! We eat a very rounded diet although it sounds quite random!
