lots of requests for designer accordion organizers lately

i used to make these - 100's and 100's of them over the past 4 years.

now i am so busy with my designer carriers/envelopes that i rarely post any in my shop.

but...every now and then i get an email from a customer who shopped at crunchy cute asking if i still make them. last week a return customer named sara who wrote to me
"Last year, I purchased a "Designer Cash / Budget / Coupon Accordion Organizer 13 open Pocket STANDARD size - Amy Butler, French Wallpaper in Orange"...  and I LOVE LOVE it.
I've used the fire out of it - and I've bought others, but none hold up like this one has."
so i made these two for her.
hope she loves them and they serve her well.

dave ramsey 's words of wisdom: Living for the Now...

It is human nature to want it and want it now; it is also a sign of immaturity. Being willing to delay pleasure for a greater result is a sign of maturity. However, our culture teaches us to live for the now. “I want it!” we scream, and we can get it, if we are willing to go into debt. Debt is a means to obtain the “I want its” before we can afford them.

how to cash envelope system

  1. we pay our bills directly from our checking account (mortgage, electric, phone...)
  2. decide what categories  you will be using for your budget: groceries, entertainment, clothing, haircuts, gifts, miscellaneous, blow....
  3. then estimate how much money you will need for each category. you may need to adjust this over the next couple of months until you get it exactly right.
  4. order the number of fabric envelopes you will be needing from saving money in style.
  5.  you can get them with or without pre made labels.
  6. then go to the ATM and load each envelope with the amount for that category!
it is just that simple!

  • remember to ask yourself when you are shopping - "is this a want or is this a need?" i have found that i want a lot of things but i do not need them. this has saved me a lot of money.
  • you do not need to take all of your envelopes with you. take only those envelopes that you plan to use on your errands. that will keep you from dipping into other envelopes!
  • be patient - it will take some time to get used to this new way of budgeting.
  • have disciplie - it will not work if you do not stick with your plan.

Proverbs 27:12 The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
